Our Work

Supporting existing and aspiring small business owners

We invest in entrepreneurs so they can start, develop and expand their small businesses. The Foundation focuses its efforts on youth entrepreneurship; aspiring professionals looking to pursue business ownership and existing business owners looking to expand their operations. The Foundation conducts programs across the United States and in emerging small business economies including India, China and Africa. We wish to develop and grow entrepreneurs that have viable business ideas, but lack the necessary support.

Technical Assistance  |  Mentorship  |  Executive Education

Working in partnership with local training organizations, corporate philanthropic initiatives, and educational institutions, the Foundation develops education materials and provides financial assistance for technical training of small business owners.

1.5 million entrepreneurs a week have free access to helpful information to start and grow sustainable small businesses. Young adults and high school students have access to educational materials to become their own boss. Executive education opportunities have been provided for existing small business owners and countless businesses have been transformed, thanks to the Foundation’s mission to support small business success and the generous support of people like you.

Melinda F. Emerson Foundation is a public charity currently supported by contributions from corporations, individuals, and self generated revenue.
